This is the story of Carter Jones, who’s the oldest of four children and is starting the 6th grade. Carter’s father is deployed from the army and is working in New Zealand. Carter’s grandfather has died and, in his will, gifted the family his butler’s services. Mr. Bowles-Fitzpatrick helps the family get organized and on-track and even teaches Carter how to play the game of cricket. Throughout the story we learn about Carter’s relationship with his father, his mother and his siblings-those here and those not. This is a great story for anyone who has ever had questions about their family, their friends and themselves. This is a story about family, friendship, loss and death.
Perfect for you if you are in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
